Free checks

Enter the address and let us look. Every check reads the visible text and compares it against today's date.

In short

DustOff offers several free website checks: the general website check, the outdated content check, the year check, the season check and the expiry check. All of them run without sign-up and without access to your system — your website address is enough.

Check everything

If you're not sure what you're looking for, these checks cover the whole site.

Check something specific

If you already suspect one particular kind of dust.

Which check fits when

If you're unsure, start with the website check — it covers the others at its core.

How a check works

You enter your website's address — with or without https, it doesn't matter. DustOff then reads the visible text on the key pages and compares it against today's date.

The result shows up right on the page: each stale spot with a text excerpt and a sentence on why it stands out. No access to your system, no install, no account.

  • Only what's publicly visible gets read.
  • Protected areas and login-only sections are left alone.
  • Up to 50 pages per run on the free plan.

Why fewer flags is better

A flag that turns out to be wrong costs more trust than a spot that got missed. After three false alarms, nobody reads closely anymore — and then the fourth, correct one is wasted too.

So DustOff stays cautious: it only flags what's clearly outdated. Accuracy over completeness.

What these checks are not

Load time, broken links, accessibility, security: all important, none of it here. There are good tools for that already, and they answer a different question.

This one answers exactly one: does something on your website no longer hold true today?

Common questions about the checks

Are the checks really free?
Yes. One website stays free to check permanently, including email reminders. A plan only kicks in for several websites, more frequent runs, or more pages per run.
Do I need to install anything or grant access?
No. Your website's address is enough. DustOff only reads what's already publicly visible — no access to your system, no plugin, no code added to the page.
How long does a check take?
Usually a few seconds up to about a minute, depending on how many pages get read.
How many pages get read?
Up to 50 pages per run on the free plan, up to 300 on Pro, and up to 1000 on Agency.
What happens to my email address?
It's only used for the reminders you've confirmed. Unsubscribing takes one click in any email, and we delete all data completely on request.
Can I mute a flagged spot?
Yes. Anything you've deliberately left as is can be ignored going forward — it won't show up in a reminder again.
